Join #TeamShine for the Milano Marathon in 2027!

This popular event starts and finishes in Milan's city centre and will take you past many of the city's famous landmarks.

You’ll start on the Corso Sempione, near the Arco della Pace and finish in the Piazza Del Duomo, Milan's 14th century and main piazza (city square), which is dominated by the Duomo, or Milan's Cathedral.

There was a brand new course in 2026 - click here to see it. It's a route that crosses the heart of Milan. From start to finish, you’ll experience iconic urban landscapes, the warmth of the crowd, DJ sets, music zones, and cheering points that turn every metre into a moment to remember.

The Wizz Air Milano Marathon is preceded every year by the three-day Milano Running Festival. It's a large exhibition hub with entertainment activities, workshops and clinics, and event and product presentations.

Around 15,000 people take part each year - will you be one of them in 2027?

Charity places

Shine has a limited number of charity places available. Book your spot on the start line today by clicking ‘sign up now’ at the bottom of this page. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so act fast to avoid disappointment.

Do you have your own place?

If you have a general entry place in the race, we would love you to be a part of #TeamShine! With no minimum sponsorship pledge or registration fee, we simply ask you to raise as much as you can to support members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families. Plus, you'll have access to all the great benefits above.

To join Shine with your own place, complete this short form.

Accessibility

Both assisted and unassisted wheelchair users can take part in the Milan marathon, and, if required, a guide to assist disabled participants can take part free of charge. Please get in touch with the official organisers for more information.

More information

Please note that the cut-off time is 6hrs 30mins.

There are also two intermediate “gates”: at 21.1km after 3hr 15mins of the race (about 12pm) and at 27.8km after 4hr 20mins of the race (about 1pm). If you do not arrive at the gates within those times, you may be invited by the staff to get on the buses for the retired athletes or, at least, to continue running on the pavement and not on the roadway - the roads will be reopening to traffic.

17. To indemnify Shine in respect of any costs, claims, loss or liability caused to the Charity, as a result of any breach by the participant of the terms of this agreement.
