Bladder and bowel health is an essential and important part of living with spina bifida. Having good routines can increase day to day confidence and comfort as well as impacting relationships, work, social life and long-term wellbeing.

We aim to reduce stigma around talking about bladder and bowels and to make the subject feel approachable and encourage people to seek advice when symptoms, routines or needs change.

This webinar will offer practical, reassuring information for adults, including:

  • Why regular bladder and bowel care matters,
  • What good routines can look like
  • How to recognise changes that may need clinical advice
  • How Shine can help people access support

The session will be hosted as a webinar, meaning that everyone will be joining with their cameras and microphones off, to allow privacy throughout.

The session will also include a Q&A to help people feel supported and encouraged to have open conversations about continence health and the difference good support can make.
